For the ramblers among you, there are miles and miles of tracks to follow and explore among the vineyards and orchards that cover our region.
We can take you on guided walks from our own front door, or drive you a short distance to enjoy some superb walking in the countryside or on the coastal footpaths of the area. We can provide packed lunches if needed, but most walks have a cafe or restaurant close to part of the trail.

There are several golf courses in the area and it is difficult to give details of them all, but suffice to say that you can play at some excellent venues and the best ones are listed in the page that is linked here.   

Golf courses 

There is a sailing school at Foz Do Arelho. The lagoon is a large and calm watersports area, ideal to learn or improve your skills.

The lagoon also welcomes anglers, and there are plenty of fish waiting for your bait.
The Barragem at Peniche is freshwater and so an ideal venue for the carp fanatics out there. We personally know an angler who has caught so many carp in one session, that his keepnet was extremely difficult to lift single handed. There are plenty of opportunities for surfing at Peniche, which recently held the 2009 European heats of the Rip-Curl championships on its sandy beaches.

If you love cycling then we have easy flat cycle paths going nearly all around the lagoon, or hilly roads and tracks everywhere else.
